Younjeong Lee's personal interest in city naturally began with a curiosity about the concrete place where She is living in. Based on that, to reveal the hidden away from repeated monotonous daily life became a central theme of her work to create a new urban landscape.

To conceive the initial idea of the work, a city was perceived as a kind of pattern. The pattern was something to be found in different scales and various locations as well as resulting in a certain visual consistency between different places. Orthogonal grid of a city was covered with foot prints of high rise buildings, numerous windows of them, and the scenery inside filled with mass products.
